Ben Francis is one of Australia's best up and coming Independent Rock/Pop Artists. The Singer/Songwriter has spent 8 years writing and performing in Melbourne and is now based in Coffs Harbour on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales. Ben's music is best described as Melodic Rock/Pop - an original mix of melodic vocal lines, acoustic and electric guitars combined with vintage beats. His lyrics are genuine and emotive. Ben has a strong unique voice that sets him apart from other artists. His live performances are passionate, energetic and entertaining, leaving audiences wanting more. He lists his current influences as Bernard Fanning, Ben Lee and Alex Lloyd.

Ben and his 3 piece band have recently been touring the East Coast of Australia, playing successful shows between Brisbane and Melbourne (Including shows at Brisbane's famous Globe Theatre and Melbourne's legendary Evelyn Hotel) in support of his current EP (recorded at Studios 301 Byron Bay with producer Paul Pilsneniks[ Powderfinger/Silverchair] ). He has supported some of the country's finest acts including Eskimo Joe, You Am I and Dallas Crane.

He is currently in talks with top Melbourne producer Jimi Maroudas (Tim Rogers/Pete Murray) and will return to Melbourne soon to record a new single and EP. Ben is a fast emerging act within the industry to watch out for in the near future!

Every Gig, punters are amazed and gob smacked about the huge sound the band and the intense, 'in your face Rock' they deliver. As the word “Occa” best describes Australian, that is exactly what this band majority covers—Good Aussie rock!!

Australian rock has developed over the years to become a major player in today's international music industry. The nurturing and testing ground for most of those acts was the Australian Pub scene. For years the guys have been listening to stories from audience members on how they used to go and see acts such as AC/DC, INXS, Cold Chisel, Midnight Oil, and many others perform in local pubs and clubs. What better way to pay tribute to these acts than to try and keep the Pub scene alive with the music that it was built on.

The repertoire consists of classic’s from the 60’s through to today, and as one happy publican was quoted to say: “every person in the room knew each one of the songs—what a great concept!” And it is a great concept, because Aussie rock has it own edge!. It represents all of us, and reflects the emotions of our nation at the time. And what is the best way to celebrate it, than to pay tribute to it. Along with some International artists, that really we had to play to pay homage to some of our personal influences.

Having made massive strides in the North Coast music scene in 2009, with the release of their debut EP ‘One Night In September’ and a host of shows under the belt, ‘The Matheson Trio’ have regrouped as an acoustic roots & blues outfit after testing their original tracks to audiences from Byron Bay to Port Macquarie. Formerly playing under the guise of 'Joshua Matheson', the band have gained plenty of attention from audiences of all ages, and after the loss of their guitarist, Chris Boaz, Dan McCosker and Joshua Matheson have developed a classic chilled out blues and roots sound that appeals to all tastes. Currently working on some studio recordings of this new direction, under the guidance the Producer of Josh's Debut EP Tim Hodgkinson, audiences can look forward to hearing what is described as a 'Mellow, Creative and Funky' sound. After extensively covering the Mid North Coast in 09, The Trio are looking to spread their wings a little further in 2010, partnering with offbeat operations entertainment agency, they have shows in January and February already booked out and a small East Coast Tour planned for March/April 2010. The band is fast gaining momentum and becoming one of the most popular outfits on the North Coast with a dangerously tight groove, powerful vocals and an energetic stage sound. The Matheson Trio is the outlet for singer/songwriter Joshua Matheson, who’s influences are far ranging from Jimi Hendrix and John Mayer to Bob Marley, Ben Harper, Joshua Radin & John Butler. The trio’s original material creates a cocktail of styles, fusing blues & funk, with reggae & rock, from mellow chilled out tunes to funky riffs and rocking melodies, keeping it interesting for the listener the whole way through, as well as throwing in the occasional cover just for good measure.

MARY JANES LEOPARD & DJ’s

Mary Janes Leopard was formed in 2006 on the back of Groove Robbers front man Guy Delandro looking to expand his musical horizons. The band is essentially a cover band with a few originals here and there. The idea behind the band was to play more creative and unique covers that no one else is doing and to stand apart from other cover bands. Helping the band to stand apart is the latest instrumental technology which creates a unique and unrivalled sound. Songs like Bon Jovi's 'Wanted Dead or Alive' or Gary Newmans 'Cars' are complemented not only with the two electric guitars, bass, and drums but also a host of other instruments including acoustic guitar, piano and keyboards backing vocals and percussion. The aim is to give the band a full bodied sound otherwise only achieved in major rock venues and concerts and the sound achieved is absolutely first class. MJL have been performing now for almost 12 months playing at The Federal and Coast Hotels as well as numerous private functions. The live show is full on right from the beginning and the band has received overwhelming support and above average numbers at shows in it's short time together. The band is made up of front man and guitarist Guy Delandro, lead guitarist Pete Gulliver, Bassist Andy Campbell and drummer Josh McGovern, all who in their own right are talented and experienced musicians who know how to put on a great show.
